Swiss luxury home theatre manufacturer Goldmund has released the Most Expensive Blu-Ray Player ever made.

A few weeks ago, we reported the Most Expensive DVD Player which surprisingly couldn’t even play Blu-Ray discs.  Looks like this new player is a response to the growing popularity of the Blu-Ray format.

The Goldmund Eidos 20BD Blu-Ray Player features an “AC-Curator” power supply circuit which supposedly provides superior audio and video quality by eliminating AC noise and interference.  The player also includes a Magnetic Damper to eliminate vibration and thereby reduce video errors.  The components inside are all top notch and the player is lovingly crafted with great attention to detail.

All this video quality comes at a cast.  The suggested retail price for the Goldmund Eidos 20BD Blu-Ray Player is $16,900.
