Vertu Signature S

Vertu Signature S

Vertu, maker of luxury phones has just unveiled its Signature S Design, an update to its flagship Signature line with more streamlined design, Wi-Fi and 3G.

Handcrafted at Vertu’s workshop in the United Kingdom, this beautifully styled piece of technology comes finished in a variety of high-quality materials, including 18-carat gold. The scratch resistant sapphire OLED screen is somewhat enlarged in this series, which is quite nice.

This is Vertu’s first 3G phone, apparently a response to the popular iPhone. Unlike the iPhone however, the Vertu Signature S features the signature jeweled bearing keypad, Vertu Concierge, and even includes ringtones exclusively created for the Vertu by Academy Award winning composer, Dario Marianelli, and is performed by the London Symphony Orchestra.

The price?  Between $14,000 and $42,000 depending on features.
