Sanrio’s Hello Kitty character first made it’s debut in 1974 as a decoration of a vinyl coin purse, now to celebrate it’s 35 anniversary the character will be made into the Super Hello Kitty Doll. A hello Kitty Doll that has been decorated with Swarovski Elements.
In 2009 the doll was unveiled at Switzerland’s Baselworld watch and jewelry show. The dolls was a joint collaboration between Swarovski Elements and Japanese jeweler I.K. The doll that is 4 inches and made with solid Platinum 900 is studded with thousands of precious gems. The gems on the doll are 1,939 pieces of white topaz, 403 pink sapphires, 2 black spinels for her eyes, a citrine for her nose, and a huge 1.027-carat diamond for her bow. The doll is valued at 15,000,000 yen or $167,000.
