Donald Trump officially opened the 64-story Trump International Hotel & Tower Las Vegas at a ribbon-cutting ceremony on Friday.
The gold tower features 1,232 suites, 50 penthouse suites, and a restaurant named DJT, which are Donald Trump’s initials. The new tower joins other new towers which have luxury accommodations, dining and retail but no casinos. A heated outdoor pool and 2,400 square feet of meeting space are some of the additional ammenities included in this building. The tower reportedly cost the Trump organization $1.2 billion.
Trump has said he will hold off construction of the second planned Las Vegas high rise until he sells all the condo and hotel units in the first tower, a sign of the current weak economy and housing market.
