Want to wear a timepiece designed by your favorite electro-pop supergroup? Now you can…
Apart from being one of the planet’s most eternally popular bands, Depeche Mode has joined forces with watchmaker Hublot to launch an auction of the most exclusive collector’s pieces in the history of rock and roll, with all proceeds donated to the Teenage Cancer Trust (TCT). In support of the TCT, the pair has created a one of a kind deal with 12 exclusive boxed sets of Hublot’s Big Bang to be auctioned off for the next two and half weeks.
The watches feature a soundblasted black ceramic bezel with six H-shaped black PVD screws along with the album artwork placed between 3 and 9 o’clock. With a power reserve of 42 hours, these elegant timepieces come with a matching black alligator rubber strap and album logo on the soundblasted black ceramic and sapphire crystal back. Priced at CHF 35,000, each exquisitely designed box contains a deluxe vinyl version of the album, a USB key containing a digital edition of the album, a documentary about the making of the album, an original album artwork print and a framed gold CD, along with a photograph signed by all members of the group who contributed to the album, including Vince Clarke and Alan Wilder.
